Shipping policy

FULFILLMENT

We fulfill orders on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday during our business hours of 8-5pm EST. We do not fulfill orders on Tuesday and Friday, and our office is closed on the weekends. Please allow 2-3 business days for processing orders before shipments are sent out. The shipment speed and estimated arrival selected at checkout is not the lapse time until you receive your order. The order will be processed by our team for 2-3 days, then shipped at the speed selected which begins the "shipping time" the order is in transit until delivered.

Our materials are made with an organism called mycelium, and have to be grown in batches before fulfilling orders. While we do our best to keep dehydrated material in-stock, if we are low it can take anywhere from 2-3 days to replenish to  2-3 weeks if we are low on supply. Hydrated material is almost always in stock and ready to ship.

Grow It Yourself® dehydrated material shipments under 5 or 6 bags will be shipped out using USPS Priority. Dehydrated material orders greater than 5 or 6 bags will be shipped using UPS Ground as it is more cost-effective for larger-sized shipments. If you have problems receiving certain carriers at your address, it is your responsibility to inform our team before we ship your order. 

Hydrated mycelium material shipments are fulfilled Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We do not ship on Tuesday or Friday. The cut-off time to be shipped the following day is 5 pm. This product requires overnight or 1 day shipping to shorten the length of time spent outside of refrigeration. Refrigerate immediately upon receipt until ready to use. 

Please take into account the 2-3 potential business days when processing orders before shipment and plan lead time accordingly. If you have an urgent order, it is your responsibility to convey the timeline to our team either in the "Note" section of your order, or by emailing us at giy@ecovative.com. 

We only ship to North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) at this time. If you are in Europe and would like a mycelium material, please order from our licensees at Grown.bio located in the Netherlands.

PICKUP

We don't offer order pickup from our facility unless a specific agreement and prior communication. Please email giy@ecovative.com. 

 

OVERNIGHT SHIPPING

All Hydrated material must be overnight shipped. Because the material is alive and growing, we must minimize the time spent outside of refrigeration and choose the fastest shipping speed possible. The shipping costs are reflective of the speed, heavy package, and distance the order is traveling. Please place Hydrated mycelium material in the fridge upon receipt.


RETURN TO SENDER

Issues with shipments regarding shipping carriers are outside of Grow.bio's scope of assistance. Please contact the carrier directly should you have an issue with your package. The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate address and preferred shipping carrier. For example, if you know that USPS does not deliver to your address and UPS is reliable, it is your responsibility to inform us in the "Note" section of your order when checking out, or in a separate email to giy@ecovative.com. We are able to assist with additional shipments should the material not arrive, but the cost is to be inherited by the customer. Grow.bio cannot resell the mycelium material to another customer after it is returned to sender for quality control reasons. If a shipping error was made on our end we will send a second shipment at no cost to the buyer.
